Cedar Grove Branch Will Close August 1, 2010
On August 1st the Cedar Grove branch library will close and the staff and some of the collections will be re-assigned to the Main Library. We know that this is a disappointment to their loyal patrons and we sincerely hope that they will come and visit us at the Main Branch. Read More
Meeting Room Request Form Now Available Online
The Orange County Main Library maintains a meeting space as a public service for the citizens of Orange County. Groups wishing to schedule the meeting room for an event must first complete the Meeting Room Reservation Request Form, which is now available online. In addition, interested groups can utilize the online Meeting Room Calendar to determine the availability of the meeting room. Read more
Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Library will sponsor a book sale on Friday, August 27th from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, August 28th from 9 am to 4:30 pm in the Main Library meeting room. Hardback books will cost $1 and paperbacks will cost $0.50. A Book Sale Preview will be held for Friends members only on Friday, August 27th from 3 pm to 7 pm. New memberships will be accepted at the door.
Important 2010 - 2011 Library Service Information
This year, Orange County had to make unprecedented budgeting decisions, including service changes at the Orange County Public Libraries. Key changes include the reduction of Cybrary hours beginning July 1, the closure of the Cedar Grove Branch on August 1, the increase in Main Library hours beginning September 7, and an increase in select fees beginning September 7. Saturday, August 7 at 2:30 pm
Jazz Concert with pianist Audrey Smith
These events will take place at the Orange County Main Library in Hillsborough. In addition, a special exhibit exploring the history of the Orange County Public Library is on display at the Orange County Museum.
