Cedar Grove Branch Library
Cedar Grove Branch Closed as of August 1, 2010
On August 1st the Cedar Grove Branch Library closed and the staff and some of the collections will be re-assigned to the Main Library. While not an easy decision to make, there were several factors that weighed in:
- Security Concerns due to remote location
- High Cost of Customer Service - $214 per customer/per year
- The over $117,000 in maintenance cost per year of the building.
We know that is a disappointment to their loyal patrons and we sincerely hope that they will come and visit us at the Main Branch. For more information, please read the Letter from our Library Director.

Returning Materials
After August 2nd, patrons may return materials to any of the following locations:
- Main Library in Hillsborough
- Carrboro Cybrary
- Person County Public Library
- Caswell County Public Library
Library Cards
Patrons’ Cedar Grove Library card will continue to work at the following locations:
- Main Library in Hillsborough
- Carrboro Cybrary
- Person County Public Library
- Caswell County Public Library
