Carrboro Branch Art Gallery

The Carrboro Branch Library Arts Program is a non-profit organization associated with the Friends of the Carrboro Branch Library. The Arts Program has transformed the Carrboro Branch Library into a genuine art gallery that has displayed the work of over 1500 local artists over the past 12 years. The Arts Program curates 4 gallery shows a year, each focusing on a unique theme.

Call for Art Entries

Carrboro Branch Library will host its 2nd Juried Exhibit from October 27, 2012 through January 14, 2013. The Friends of the Library are currently seeking submissions related to the theme "Spiritual Spaces". The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 16, 2012. Submission Guidelines

Description

This show features an exhibition of launchable rockets and space paintings by Mr. Grigg's McDougle Middle 6th graders and paintings by art instructor Joey Howell.

Art Reception

A rocket launch and art reception will be held on May 14. The rocket launch will be held on the McDougle athletic fields at 5:30pm with a reception to follow in the library.
