About  About the Contest:

The Teen Advisory Board is holding a poster contest in order to help promote International Games Day at the Library.
 Games Day is on Saturday, November 3, 2012.  International Games Day celebrates gaming of all kinds - video games, board games, card games, RPGs and more.  Create a poster that promotes International Games Day and enter it into the poster contest for your chance to win one of several prizes!

Who  Who can enter:

Anyone can enter the poster contest, so long as all of the artwork is the entrant’s own original creation.  There are three age brackets for poster entries:
 10 and younger, 11 - 15 years old, and 16 and older.  The entries in each age bracket will only be judged and a winner and runner-up will be selected in all three categories.

How  How to enter:


Bring your poster into the Main Library (137 W. Margaret Ln., Hillsborough NC 27278) and submit it to the
Information Desk on the second floor.  Entrants will receive an information card with important dates for judging and prize information.

About  Judging & Deadline:

The poster contest winners will be selected by the members of the Orange County Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.  All entries must be received
before 4:00pm on October 24 in order to be eligible.

Who  Prizes:

Prizes will include $20 GameStop gift cards and board games, so that winners may choose their preferred prize.

How  Poster Guidelines:

Posters should be no more than 24 x 36 inches and should have the entrant’s name, age, email address and/or phone number printed on or attached to the back of the poster.  You may use whatever materials you like on your poster - pen, pencil, markers, etc. - and you may also create your poster digitally and print it out to submit a paper copy.  As many entries as possible will be displayed in the library in the week leading up to International Games Day.
