Committees and Focus Areas
- Healthy Carolinians Council is the partnerhship's governing body. The Council helps select priority health issues, guides the work of the partnership, and advocates for health issues at the state and local level.
- Advocates for Children Committee focuses on family violence prevention and community education about this issue.
- Advocates for Adolescents Committee focuses on the reduction of risky youth behaviors in northern Orange County, with a specific focus on underage drinking and tobacco use.
- Health Promotion Committee focuses on the prevention and reduction of childhood obesity.
- Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committee focuses on improving access to needed mental health and substance abuse services and decreasing stigma related to these issues.
