HEALTH PROMOTER TRAINING PROGRAMS
Child Health Awareness and Promotion (CHAP)
With a grant from the Orange County Partnershp for Children, OCHD conducted child health and safety promotion trainings from 2000-2002 with the goal of reaching those familes who face the most barriers to information and services. Trained Child Health Promoters appeared on local Spanish media, organized and participated in community events, and developed bilingual photo-story booklets called "fotonovelas" to teach others about safety.
