Orange County Public Library Volunteer Program
Library Volunteers are Wonderful
As a volunteer at the library, you help us keep our library functioning smoothly. And, if you are a high school or college student, we are able to provide the documentation you need to receive class or service hours credits. For more detailed information about what volunteers do at the library, read our volunteer job descriptions.

But that's not all. As a library volunteer, you help us better connect with our community. We rely on our volunteers to "spread the word" about our programs and services. We also hope you will let us know how we can improve them, as well.
If you have questions about volunteering at the library, please contact Nitya Fiorentino, adminstrative services supervisor by email or at 919.245.2538.
If you are interested in volunteering with the library, please complete an application. After we receive your completed application, our adminstrative services supervisor will contact you for an interview. The interview helps us determine if your interests are a good match for jobs available at that time.

If you are selected to be a volunteer at the library, we will work with you to finalize your schedule. We will provide training and supervision in the specific tasks you are assigned. We will also provide you with a copy of our volunteer handbook.
