The Human Relations Commission hosted a Community Conversation on the Proposed UDO Text Amendment which, if approved by the Board of County Commissioners, would include specific size regulations on all flags and flagpoles in the County regardless of content. Please find the video footage from the event below.

Human Relations Forum
The HRC hosts an annual community forum on a topic of interest. The 2018 Forum was held on April 15 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and focused on sexual harassment, titled “Making Sense of it All: Exploring The Complexities of Sexual Harassment.” Check back for more details on next year's Forum.

Human Relations Community Read
The HRC Community Read is a twice-a-year book club for the entire county, cultivating a culture of reading and discussion by bringing people together around great works of literature. The Commission encourages a Summer Read (which may align with the University of North Carolina Summer Reading program) and a Fall Read. Each Community Read is purposed to inspire literacy, critical thinking, and community bonding. Join us!
