You may either download forms or use our online registration for reserving shelters, athletic areas or facilities. The county also requires that you complete a Hold Harmless Agreement which can be found on the link listed above. Reservation forms and agreements must be completed and turned in 2 weeks prior to the event. You may also call 919-245-2660 or visit the administrative office (300 W. About the Park:
Located adjacent to Gravelly Hill Middle School at 4710 West Ten Rd. Efland, NC. This Special Facility was specifically conceived and designed to accommodate the growing need for playing fields within Orange County. A master plan was prepared and presented to the public and comments incorporated into the plan in July of 2004. An opportunity arose during the planning for the 3rd Orange County Middle School, to incorporate the desired outcome of school and park co-location and realize economies of scale in the pre-construction phase of the project. Planning and pre-construction took place during 2005 and 2006.
In the spring of 2007, the Board of County Commissioners authorized funding to complete the project, and final construction of the fields began during the summer.
The soccer center includes five full size fields (360' x 225') and one smaller youth field (120' x 240"). A perimeter, walking track will be installed as well as lighting for all. A concession building includes restrooms, an office, equipment storage, a first aid room and a team room. Parking areas and fencing complete the project.
Funding assistance was provided by the US Soccer Foundation in the form of a grant.
