In recognition of National Falls Prevention Week, September 23 –29, the Department on Aging is offering an afternoon of FREE screenings and consultations to help you prevent and reduce falls and accidents. Screenings include: Balance Screenings (by appointment), CarFit – Check how well your personal vehicle "fits" you (bring your personal vehicle), Footwear Examinations, Walker & Cane Fitting Adjustments, and Consultations (by appointment). Join us as we present the story of Clark Wang and his path through planning a spiritually significant funeral, while attempting to save a North Carolina woods from being cut down. The film, A Will for the Woods, documents Wang’s journey and process to achieve green burial at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest, NC.
