Reports that these products alleviate a broad variety of medical problems are quickly gaining a following. Emily Jones, a second year pharmacy resident at UNC Medical Center, will talk about scientific evidence of the efficacy and safety of cannabis-based products, and a clinician’s approach to assessing the utility of these products in the senior population. *NOTE time correction.Program is 9:30-11:30 a.m.

    The Arc of the Triangle’s Petals with a Purpose connects flowers to people, all the while making a positive difference on the environment. Using items destined for the landfill and with support from the community, Petals with a Purpose needs YOU! This is an opportunity for volunteers and friends to come together weekly to create bouquets of fresh flowers that are delivered to local partners in our community.   5. Cinema Night at the Seymour Center - Won’t You Be My Neighbor

    Filmmaker Morgan Neville examines the life and legacy of Fred Rogers, the beloved host of the popular children’s TV show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. For over thirty years, Fred Rogers, an unassuming minister, puppeteer, writer and producer was beamed daily into homes across America. In his beloved television program, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Fred and his cast of puppets and friends spoke directly to young children about some of life’s weightiest issues, in a simple, direct fashion. There hadn’t been anything like Mr Rogers on television before, and there hasn’t been since. Concessions will be available for purchase from 5:30 - 6 pm. FREE movies will begin promptly at 6 pm.
