It's School Time!

Website version of School newsletter header

Libraries offer materials and experiences that foster a life-long love of learning. As such, we are part of the Orange County community's educational ecosystem. In addition we provide special no-fine accounts to school students and staff.

Student Easy Access Accounts
Student Easy Access (SEA) accounts give kids access to all of our digital resources without ever having to step in the building. Our online resources include tutoring at all grade levels, research databases, e-materials (books, movies and music), and more. If a student does want to check out physical materials -- and who doesn't want to do that?!? -- they can use their SEA account for that purpose. Best of all, there are never any late fees, as long as we get the items back in good condition. You can get complete information about SEA accounts here.

But wait there's more...

Educator Accounts
Everyone who works at a school, from the bus drivers and custodians to the principal or superintendent, plays a crucial role in supporting a child's learning. In appreciation of this fact, we offer educator accounts to those who teach K-12 students in any Orange County school. Just like the SEA accounts, educator accounts give staff access to our online resources such as test prep, job search assistance, research databases, e-materials and more. And school staff are invited to borrow physical materials with these accounts but without the hassle of late fees. You can get complete information about educator accounts here

If you have additional questions about either account, please speak with your school's media center specialist or email Libbie Hough at the Orange County Public Library.

We wish you a great school year and we hope to see you at the library soon!
