  • Options Counseling
    Certified Options Counselors help create plans for immediate and future long-term care needs.

    Our team of experts have extensive experience navigating long and short-term care planning. We can help identify which services a person may be eligible to receive.   • Caregiver Support Groups
    Dementia and Parkinson's caregiver support groups offered at both senior centers. Call the Aging Help Line or see the Senior Times for all support groups, times and locations.

  • In-Home Safety Inspections
    An Occupational Therapist is available to conduct home safety inspections and make recommendations that could help prevent falls and enhance mobility.
  • Transportation Options
    A Transportation Specialist is available to help identify transportation options for non-drivers and help with accessing services. Transportation Call Center 919-717-1853, Monday-Friday.
  • Durable Medical Equipment
    Gently used durable medical equipment is available free of charge to those in need. Please consider donating your gently used equipment.
  • Telephone Reassurance
    "Good morning" safety calls made by volunteers to those who live alone Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. To make a referral, please call the Aging Helpline.
  • Friend to Friend Program
    Community-based volunteers are matched with socially isolated seniors for companionship and friendship. To make a referral, please call the Aging Helpline. To volunteer as a "friend," please call 919-245-4243 or visit Volunteer Connect 55+.
  • Fit Feet
    Toenail trimming service provided by trained RN's for adults age 55 plus. By appointment only.
  • Health and Wellness
    Health and wellness services, ranging from massages to free blood pressure screenings are offered at both senior centers, including fitness and balance classes like yoga, aerobics, tai chi, and more.
